Account info: your email and password (handled by our auth provider, Supabase — we never see your password). Profile info: username, avatar photo, and country, all of which you choose to provide. Match & club data: locations and times you or others create. Device info: a push notification token, if you enable notifications.
We use your device's location (with your permission) to show public matches near you, and we store the coordinates you pick when creating a match or club so it can be displayed on a map and found by proximity. We don't track your location in the background or store a location history.
To run the app: showing your matches, friends, and clubs; sending push notifications for things that directly involve you (friend requests, join requests/approvals, match results); and enforcing the uniqueness of usernames and club names. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't run analytics or tracking SDKs.
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. Your data is processed by Supabase, our backend/database provider, and by Expo, which relays push notifications to your device. Other FootyMatch users can see your username, avatar, country, and any matches/clubs you're part of, per the app's normal visibility rules (friends/public/club).
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings — this immediately and permanently removes your profile and cascades to your matches, memberships, friendships, votes, and push token.
FootyMatch is not intended for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
You can view and edit most of your profile data directly in the app, and delete your account (and all associated data) at any time. For anything else, contact us using the details below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continuing to use FootyMatch after a change means you accept the update.
